Braveheart Kids Village is looking for volunteers! We need people for our check-in & check-out team, greeters, crew leaders, station leaders and so much more! Check out more details below for volunteer positions. We CAN’T WAIT to hear from you!

Remember that you must be a registered attendant for Camporee or have gone through the Brave Heart Village volunteer process to be eligible to volunteer.


Volunteers job descriptions

Check-in & Check out Team: The check-in team are the first people seen at BraveHeart! This position is for people who love people and have a heart to serve. The registration process is online and requires a knowledge of computer databases. Registration team volunteers will work with the Check-in Director.

Time commitment: 8:00 am – 12:30 pm and 1:30 pm – 5:00. Attend all staff meetings.

 

Greeters: Do you have a big smile and love greeting children? This job is right down your alley! The Greeter welcomes children to BraveHeart Village and makes sure they are connected to their crew leader. They are intentionally attentive to each child that comes through the door at the beginning of the program and greet the children and parents saying goodbye at the end of the program.

Time commitment: 8:00 am – 12:30 pm and 1:30 pm – 5:00. Attend all staff meetings.

 

Crew Leaders: This is the best job ever! A crew leader team is assigned a group of children to lead from station to station and sit with at the opening and closing ceremonies. The crew leader interacts with the children getting to know their names, favorite activity, and even what is on their hearts. Assist children in groups of 15-20 during each station, e.g., help with cutting, pasting, science activity, games, etc. The crew leader is highly appreciated by the station leaders for their attentive help!

Time commitment: 8:00 am – 12:30 pm and 1:30 pm – 5:00. Attend all staff meetings.

 

Station leaders: What a job! You will want this one for sure! The station leader is given the curriculum, resources, and supplies needed to interact with each group of children as they come to their stations. Each station is designed to be experiential with movement and moments of reflection.

Assistant Station Leaders: The Assistant Station Leader helps prepare for each group and takes direction from the Station Leader. What a team!
